Venom Budget Turbo Kit

I decided to produce more turbochargers for the community. These are high end, high powered direct bolt in turbos. These fit all 1.4 engines found in the Gen 1 Cruze, Sonic, Trax and Vanderhall. I'm now offering these with Venom tunes. The Venom Turbocharges are a Super Cruzes exclusive and I will not be giving other tuners the specifications on these turbochargers. I have been offering the Black Widow turbochargers for 2 years and I have been watching tuners struggle to get the tunes right for my customers. So I came up with a solution. Based on the data that I have been getting back, I have seen other companies not be able to tune properly for the output of the Black Widow. In order to protect the Venom Turbochargers' reputation, I have decided to make it exclusive so I can focus on helping customers 100%. This version can be ordered with more budget friendly add ons like OEM style studs / nuts and OEM style oil / coolant lines instead of the titanium and aluminum upgrades in the more high end version of the kit. 

This new line of turbos will work on a factory tune or have their own specific tunes made for them to run perfectly on your 1.4 powered vehicle. You can run my OEM sized Venom Turbo with the OEM style wastegate/diverter it comes with or you can run my Venom big turbo (Stage 1) with an adjustable wastegate on a stock tune. You will need the adjustable wastegate so I can lower the boost down on the turbo. DO NOT ORDER A Venom big turbo stage 3 or Cobra turbo if you have no intention of getting tuned. This is a bad idea. Please refer to the note I wrote below. 

NOTE: Here is when you should tune a vehicle for a turbo change. Absolutely never run a 55+MM turbo on a stock tune no matter what a company tells you. I have seen enough data to know that the stock tune simply cannot handle a 55+MM turbo. (At least my turbos because they are pretty agressive.) So do not do it. If you buy a 55+MM turbo from me, you will need a tune.

NOTE: I designed 4 turbos for the 1.4 LUV engine found in the Cruze, Sonic, Trax, Encore, and Vanderhall. They fit many more cars I added a fitment chart at the bottom of this listing.  These turbos all make power on a stock car with a stock tune, stock injectors, and stock valve springs. They also have the ability to be used on a tuned car with stock injectors, and stock valve springs. You can increase the boost on these turbos with supporting mods to push the boost and horsepower even higher.

OEM Sized Venom Turbo - Works on OEM tune and custom tunes   

Silver Turbo - 100-160HP

I decided to come out with a new turbo that is a great replacement for a bad OEM turbo. OEM sized turbos may be silver or gunmetal grey. If I have the time I can also color the turbo in a custom color for you.  When you order the OEM sized turbo, Venom or Cobra big turbos you will get the same options with all of them. The studs, nuts, wastegates, gaskets and lines will be the same but the turbo will be different between the options. 

Venom  Stage 1- Works on OEM tune and custom tunes 

Red Turbo - 160-240HP

I designed this turbo to be able to handle 190-250 HP. This turbo features a billet high temp, high speed, wheel and stronger bearings designed to handle faster spooling. The oil and cooling passages are larger The impellers on the venom turbos will be different colors depending on the HP ranges. Sometimes they will be red, black, silver or orange. The turbo is designed to direct replace your OEM turbo without having to modify anything. The one pictured on the site has been bench flow tested at 200,000 and 300,000 RPM. It tested at 23-35 PSI it is recommend if your running any higher boost to change your valve springs to something stronger. The Venom turbo will create HP on a stock tune. But on a tuned car it will make a lot more HP than an OEM turbocharger. I recommend limiting your car to 20 PSI as the volume of air these produce is much higher then OEM and if your running stock valve springs you will create what's known as valve float starting between 20-25 PSI and above so upgrade your valve springs if you are going after high boost numbers. If you are trying to go over 20 PSI I recommend upgrading your fuel injectors to compensate for the extra boost but if your not tuned and running stock injectors we will set the turbo up for the OEM application. 

Venom Stage 2 - Tune Required - Does not work on an OEM tune

Larger Red Turbo -  200-270hp 

This turbo is built the same way as the Venom stage 1 but the internals are made larger to fit a bigger impeller and handle the increased boost/air flow. It's simple when making power on a car. More air goes in the engine more power comes out! 

The Cobra - Tune Required - Does not work on an OEM tune - 250-335hp

This turbo is a heavy duty performance turbo, it is designed for racing. Please allow up to 6-8 weeks for this turbo to be built. 

The Cobra is an amazing turbo with fast spooling and amazing power gains. This is the biggest turbo ever made that can bolt onto a 1.4 engine with zero modifications.  This turbo is a custom hybrid turbo with a custom housing machined to fit the massive impeller. The exhaust impeller is increased in size as well.  It will fit in place of your existing turbo. In fact it will look almost like a stock part but perform like a turbo feeding a race engine (this is a description relative to how I feel when it's in a car. Everyone has different ways to describe feelings this is mine). Do not run this turbo on a stock tune. For maximum performance you will need upgraded valve springs, larger injectors, modified exhaust system ( I do not sell exhaust or emissions products) and a good intake system with an upgraded intercooler. I offer Super Cruzes intercoolers, Super Cruzes cold air intakes, Super Cruzes Ported intakes as well as a ton more supporting mods for this massive turbo. 

NOTE: The OEM springs may cause valve float over a certain boost level.

NOTE: you will have to upgrade your injectors at a certain boost level. The OEM injectors are good only to a certain pulse width. So if your after more power the injectors will need to be larger.
