Handy Tools To Have In Your Garage

Equip your garage with these essential tools. With a variety of uses, these tools will come in handy for any DIY project or car maintenance task. Get organized and be prepared for any task that comes your way. Invest in quality tools for a more efficient and stress-free garage experience.

I will be expanding this section over time but for now I felt these are great tools to have in the garage that people need to help diagnose a car.

  • Why a battery pack? Because it's amazing! It can inflate tires, has a built in emergency work light, and can jump a car using it's 4,500-5,000 amp battery pack. And even has a USB port for charging phones or other battery powered electronics. The reason this battery packed is priced at the value it posted for is this reason. Most battery jump packs are 3,000 amps. I felt the lover powered ones are underpowered when testing them. at 4,500-5,000 amps the battery pack allows for faster tire inflation and faster jump starting. I can offer cheaper ones but I felt people would be un happy with the performance of a battery pack with almost half the power. I know I was.
  • Why an infrared temperature gun? Here's why. When I talk with a customer and they are having possible overheating or air fuel ratio issues with their car I always ask if they have one of these. Almost every time they answer with "no I do not". For example let's say you have a possible air fuel ratio issue. If you aim the temperature gun at the turbocharger or exhaust manifold we can see if things are overheating like the turbo itself, the cylinder head or even a catalytic converter. On top of that if you suspect your cooling system is having an issue we can pin point the location using the temperature you see.
  • Digital multimeter. This one is beyond important. Almost on a weekly basis I help people diagnose a sensor or electrical problem. One big hold up is most people do not have a way to read voltage or know how to read voltage. So this becomes challenging when trying to diagnose a vehicle for electrical faults. I use multimeters a lot in my line of work and even have a video showing how to use this very multimeter. SO now you can do things like add an accessory, test for 12v, check resistance in a sensor, continuity check an injector you can even check amperage..... The list goes on and on! It is one of my most valuable tools in diagnosing a car.
  • Flashlight........ Need I say more? But I will. I have kids. What that means is, I can never find my damn flashlight!!!! They love playing with them so in a jam when I need one I can never find them. LOL so why not add it to this kit. You can never have too many. Plus this flashlight is 2000, lumens. How do you explain 2,000 lumens to someone. Oh I know... imagine having a high beam headlight from a car in the palm of your hand.
